We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 7 Oncology/Haematology/Chemotherapy Pharmacist to join our team in London. This role offers an excellent opportunity to provide specialized pharmaceutical care in the fields of oncology and haematology, ensuring the highest standards of patient care. The successful candidate will work full time, Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 17:00, and will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing chemotherapy treatments.
Responsibilities
- Providing expert pharmaceutical care to patients undergoing chemotherapy.
- Verifying and releasing oral and IV SACT (Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy).
- Counseling patients about their treatments and supportive medications.
- Ensuring the safe and effective use of chemotherapy drugs.
- Collaborating closely with healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Providing clinical advice in the haematology-oncology specialty.
Qualifications and Experience
- Good clinical knowledge in haematology-oncology specialty (SACT BOPA passport Adult Oncology/Haematology level B or C).
- Experience in verifying oral and IV SACT (chemo).
- Experience in releasing SACT.
- Experience in patient counseling about SACT and supportive medications.
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
