We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in Milton Keynes. This role involves providing specialist neurological care and neuro‐rehabilitation for individuals with progressive or acquired neurological conditions. Our care home is expanding its services with a new SMD floor outpatient service following the success of our other centre location. The successful candidate will work with patients who have conditions such as traumatic and acquired brain injuries, delivering high-quality, patient‐centred care.
Responsibilities
- Participate as a full member of the multidisciplinary team in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual treatment and rehabilitation plans.
- Liaise with other relevant agencies as appropriate, communicate with relatives and carers with empathy, providing information, support, and advice regarding treatment plans.
- Liaise with outside organisations for equipment provision, such as wheelchair services.
- Provide advice and support to staff by teaching relevant techniques to safely implement treatment plans.
Qualifications and Experience
- HCPC registration
- Experience utilizing an evidence-based, patient-centred approach to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment plans
