The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 8a Pharmacist specializing in Ophthalmology to join our team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within our Pharmacy – Specialist Ambulatory Services department.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will provide expert pharmaceutical care in the field of ophthalmology.
- You will manage and oversee the use of biologic medicines and unlicensed medicines.
- You will support and optimize surgical pathways within the ophthalmology department.
- You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
Requirements:
Experience/Knowledge:
- Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Master's degree in pharmacy (MPharm).
- Previous NHS hospital experience is essential.
- Extensive senior experience in ophthalmology.
- Proven expertise in dealing with biologic medicines and unlicensed medicines.
- Strong understanding of surgical pathways in ophthalmology.
Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Time management and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong clinical pharmacy knowledge.
