The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 8a/8b Pharmacist to join our team, specializing in Haematology, Oncology, and Technical Services. This role involves both clinical and managerial responsibilities, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will oversee clinical and managerial duties for Haematology, Oncology, and Technical Services.
  • You will competently screen and check clinical oncology prescriptions.
  • You will manage and understand Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
  • You will work within the NHS environment while possessing knowledge of cancer drug funding.
  • You will write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and manage an aseptic unit, which is desirable.

Requirements

Education and Qualifications:

  • Vocational master's degree in pharmacy (plus completion of pre‐registration training).
  • Registered as a practising pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Certificate in Pharmacy Practice or JBP Postgraduate Certificate in General Pharmacy Practice or equivalent training/experience.
  • BOPA passport.

Experiences:

  • Educating and training staff.
  • Providing pharmaceutical care in a hospital environment.
  • Supervising staff.
  • Diverse clinical practice (desirable).

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Meeting set targets.
  • Achieving expected levels of practice as defined by others.
