Job Overview
Pulse is currently seeking a highly experienced and motivated Rotational Pharmacist to join the team at Epsom & St Helier. This is a full-time locum opportunity for a pharmacist with a strong background in oncology and clinical pharmacy. The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly across the week and may be required to provide cover during the Christmas period (excluding Bank Holidays). Please confirm any planned leave for the remainder of the year when applying.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert clinical pharmacy services to patients.
- Review and verify prescriptions and treatment plans.
- Support safe prescribing and administration of cancer therapies.
- Collaborate with consultants, nurses, and pharmacy colleagues.
- Contribute to clinical governance, audits, and service improvement.
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in line with service standards.
- Review and optimise medicines in line with best practice for patients living with frailty and polypharmacy.
- Contribute to service development by supporting the Principal and Lead Pharmacists in developing guidelines, policies, and procedures that ensure safe and effective medicines use across Community Services.
Qualifications and Experience
- GPhC-registered pharmacists with strong clinical knowledge and experience, ideally within frailty, older people, or community hospital services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within an MDT.
- A proactive and flexible approach to service delivery.
- Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centred care.
