We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 7 and 8a Clinical Wards Pharmacist to join our clients team in London. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting patient care through comprehensive medication management and clinical expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Providing expert pharmaceutical care to patients across various medical wards, including acute medical units and the emergency department.
- Conducting medication reviews and advising on the safe and effective use of medicines.
- Ensuring the accurate dispensing of prescriptions.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and participating in ward rounds.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of treatment plans.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Using electronic prescribing systems like Cerner to support clinical decision-making.
Qualifications and Experiences:
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC).
- Extensive hospital pharmacy experience.
- Experience working on various medical wards, including acute medical units or emergency departments (desirable).
- Proficiency in using electronic prescribing systems, such as Cerner.
- Strong understanding of clinical pharmacology and therapeutics.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
