The radiography team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and skilled Band 7 CT Radiographer with at least one year of UK experience to join our team in London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality radiographic services and ensuring the best care for our patients.
Your main responsibilities as a CT Radiographer include:
- Providing a high-quality diagnostic radiographic service within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ensuring safe practice according to departmental protocols.
- Performing accurate, safe, and efficient CT examinations.
- Demonstrating basic skills in CT radiography while mentoring junior radiographers.
- Maintaining positive professional links and promoting service standards within CT.
- Deputising for the Superintendent in their absence to ensure continuity and take daily responsibility for organizing and directing workflow.
- Ensuring patient comfort and safety before, during, and after CT procedures.
- Providing clear instructions and support to patients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Regularly checking and maintaining CT equipment to ensure it is functioning correctly.
- Reporting any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Accurately documenting patient information, procedure details, and any observations during the CT scan.
- Ensuring all records are kept up-to-date and comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Adhering to radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and yourself.
- Using protective equipment and techniques to ensure a safe working environment.
- Staying updated with the latest advancements in CT technology and radiography practices.
- Participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Working closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret CT images and provide accurate diagnostic information.
- Participating in case discussions and contributing to patient care plans.
- Monitoring and managing the inventory of CT supplies and materials.
- Ensuring that all necessary items are available and properly stored.
- Being prepared to respond to medical emergencies that may occur during CT procedures.
- Providing immediate assistance and following emergency protocols as needed.
What we are looking for in a Radiographer:
- DCR or BSc in Radiography
- HCPC registration
- Flexible attitude to working hours
- Excellent organizational and IT communication skills
- NHS experience
- 1 year experience with NHS or Private
- IV and Cannulation trained essential
- GE Scanners
