Job Overview

Pulse is recruiting a Band 7 Highly Specialist Speech & Language Therapist to join a dynamic and supportive Speech & Language Therapy service. This role focuses on delivering expert assessment and intervention for adults with dysphagia, complex communication needs, and AAC requirements. You will work as an autonomous clinician, providing specialist input across a range of clinical presentations and contributing to MDT pathways that support individuals with long‑term, progressive, and complex conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide highly specialist assessment and intervention for adults with dysphagia, complex communication needs, and AAC
  • Lead on complex case management and clinical decision‑making
  • Support MDT colleagues across acute, community, and specialist settings
  • Contribute to service development and pathway improvement
  • Provide clinical supervision to junior staff and assistants
  • Maintain accurate, high‑quality clinical documentation

Requirements

  • HCPC‑registered Speech & Language Therapist
  • Significant experience working with dysphagia, complex needs, and AAC
  • Ability to work independently at a highly specialist level
  • Strong MDT communication and leadership skills
  • Experience supervising junior clinicians (desirable)
