The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 7/8a Specialist Oncology Pharmacist to join our dynamic team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a leading healthcare environment, providing specialized oncology pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) prescriptions, adhering to clinical guidelines and protocols.
  • You will deliver comprehensive clinical pharmacy services to cancer wards, including medication therapy management, patient counselling, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • You will oversee the aseptic preparation of chemotherapy and other oncology-related medications, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • You will monitor and manage potential drug interactions, side effects, and adverse reactions, providing expert advice to healthcare professionals and patients.
  • You will provide training and support to pharmacy staff, healthcare professionals, and patients on oncology medications and treatment protocols.
  • You will participate in clinical trials and research projects related to oncology pharmacy, contributing to the advancement of cancer treatment.
  • You will assist in the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures related to oncology services.

Requirements

  • Up to date GPhC registration.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy or Oncology Pharmacy is preferred.
  • Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in verifying oncology (SACT) prescriptions.
  • Experience in delivering clinical pharmacy services to cancer wards.
  • Proven experience in oncology/aseptic.
