Job Overview
Pulse is currently seeking a highly organised and experienced Specialist Pharmacy Technician (Dispensary) to support the day‐to‐day operations of a busy hospital dispensary. This role is ideal for an Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) with hospital experience looking to take on a leadership role in managing workflow, supervising staff and ensuring safe and efficient dispensing services. You will work closely with the Dispensary Manager and Deputy to maintain high standards of service delivery and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the management and supervision of dispensary staff and daily operations.
- Accurately check and dispense prescriptions as an ACPT.
- Ensure safe handling and management of Controlled Drugs.
- Investigate and report dispensary incidents and discrepancies.
- Lead dispensary inductions and training for new staff.
Qualifications and Experience
- Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT).
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Previous hospital dispensary experience is essential.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage workload and supervise staff effectively.
