Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the medicines management process in designated areas, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.
- Provide expert advice to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
- Support clinical pharmacists in optimising treatment plans.
- Oversee the work of junior technicians and assist in training and development activities.
- Experience in taking responsibility for specific areas and proficiency in Medicines Management Technician (MMT) duties are essential for this role.
- Your commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team will be key to your success.
Qualifications and Experience
- GPhC registration
- NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 1-year post-qualification experience in a hospital pharmacy setting
- Experience in Medicines Management Technician (MMT) duties
- Proven ability to take responsibility for specific areas within the pharmacy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
