Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparing and dispensing medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Managing and maintaining accurate patient medication records.
- Providing medication counselling and support to patients.
- Assisting in the management of pharmacy inventory and supplies.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Qualifications and Experience
Experience/Knowledge:
- NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or Qualified Pharmacy Technician with relevant certification.
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a pharmacy technician.
- Minimum of 2 years’ post-registration NHS hospital pharmacy experience.
- Previous experience with JAC EPMA is desirable but not essential.
Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Good organizational skills to manage workload and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
