We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Band 5 ACT Dispensary Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Aylesbury. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our dispensary services. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and safety of medication dispensing, contributing to the overall effectiveness of our pharmacy operations.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the final accuracy checking of dispensed medications, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and protocols.
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the dispensary, including the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions, inventory management, and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborating with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective use of medications.
- Providing guidance and support to junior staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and continuous improvement in the dispensary processes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Hold an Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification.
- BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
- Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
