About the role
The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This role is primarily dispensary-based and requires someone who can start immediately.
Duties and Responsibilities
- You will be dispensing medications accurately in a hospital dispensary setting, which is crucial for patient safety and effective treatment.
- You will ensure the timely and precise preparation of prescriptions to help maintain the flow of patient care.
- You will provide essential support to the pharmacy team and other healthcare professionals, enhancing the overall efficiency and quality of healthcare services.
- You will maintain detailed patient records and effectively manage inventory, which are key responsibilities that ensure the smooth operation of the pharmacy.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications:
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician.
- NVQ3 in Pharmaceutical Services or equivalent.
Experience:
- A minimum of 6 months recent UK NHS hospital experience.
- Strong background in hospital pharmacy.
- Excellent team management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
