We are seeking a highly motivated Band 5/6 Locum MSK Physiotherapist to join a dynamic team in Newham, London. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage a new patient caseload in musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy, providing both assessment and treatment in a clinic-based environment. This role offers a full-time position for an initial period of 4-5 months, with the potential to contribute to improving patient outcomes in the MSK service.
Responsibilities
- Managing a new patient caseload in MSK physiotherapy.
- Providing assessments, treatment plans, and interventions for patients with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.
- Delivering physiotherapy interventions, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and rehabilitation for patients with musculoskeletal injuries or chronic conditions.
- Providing education to patients regarding injury prevention and self-management techniques.
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team and managing your caseload independently while adhering to department guidelines and ensuring high standards of care.
Qualifications and Experience
- HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist.
- Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
- Previous experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy is essential.
- Experience in managing a new patient caseload in an outpatient physiotherapy setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills in MSK physiotherapy.
- Excellent communication and patient management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Enhanced DBS check required.
