Job Overview: Pulse is now recruiting an experienced Band 6 or Band 7 Adult Speech and Language Therapist to join a dynamic service based at Beckenham Beacon Hospital with additional home visit responsibilities across the local community. This ongoing locum role offers flexibility with full-time or part-time hours and provides the opportunity to work across a varied and rewarding adult caseload.

The successful clinician will deliver high-quality assessment and intervention for adults presenting with dysphagia, communication difficulties, voice disorders, and stammering, working both in clinic and within patients' homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a clinical caseload of adults with dysphagia, communication, voice, and fluency needs
  • Conduct assessments and develop appropriate management and treatment plans
  • Provide therapy in clinic settings and through community home visits
  • Work autonomously while contributing to a wider multidisciplinary team
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Support service delivery and uphold high standards of patient care

Requirements:

  • Recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree (or equivalent)
  • HCPC registration (required)
  • Experience working with acquired dysphagia and communication caseloads at Band 6/7 level
  • Ability to independently manage a dysphagia caseload
  • Completion of RCSLT Newly Qualified SLT competencies
  • Car driver with access to own vehicle (essential for home visits)
