Pulse is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join the adult acute team at Warrington Hospital. This is a flexible opportunity offering both full-time and part-time hours, ideal for a clinician with a strong background in acute adult care.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality speech and language therapy services to adult patients in an acute hospital setting, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist speech and language therapy to adult patients in an acute hospital setting.
- Assess, diagnose, and manage communication and swallowing disorders.
- Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, and allied health professionals.
- Contribute to discharge planning and patient care pathways.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with Trust policies.
- Participate in service development and clinical audits.
- Be HCPC registered as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Have experience working in an acute adult hospital setting.
- Be confident in managing complex communication and swallowing needs.
- Demonstrate excellent clinical reasoning and interpersonal skills.
- Be proactive, organised, and committed to delivering high-quality care.
