Job Overview: Pulse is currently seeking an experienced Specialist Podiatrist to join a service focused on the management of high-risk and diabetic foot conditions. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team, delivering specialist podiatry care to patients with complex needs. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload autonomously, providing advanced assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to support patient outcomes and prevent complications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialist podiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for high-risk and diabetic patients.
  • Manage an autonomous caseload, prioritising patients based on clinical need.
  • Provide advanced interventions including wound care, offloading, and ABPI assessment.
  • Work collaboratively with diabetic specialist nurses, tissue viability teams, and wider MDT.
  • Deliver education and health promotion to patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional and Trust standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • HCPC registered Podiatrist with a Degree in Podiatry.
  • Significant NHS experience, particularly within diabetic/high-risk foot care.
  • Experience in neurovascular and gait assessment.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and ability to manage complex caseloads.
  • Experience in patient education and multidisciplinary working.
