Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using advanced nuclear medicine and PET/CT equipment.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate imaging systems, and analyse scan results while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Adhere to radiation protection guidelines, infection control protocols, and quality assurance standards.
- Work closely with radiologists, physicists, and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and efficient diagnostic imaging services.
Requirements:
- Relevant degree in Nuclear Medicine or Radiography.
- HCPC registration as a Radiographer or Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- Minimum 1-2 years post-qualification in Nuclear Medicine (NHS or private setting).
- Proficient with gamma cameras, PET-CT scanners, and radiopharmaceuticals.
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and quality assurance.
- Ability to administer radiopharmaceuticals and conduct diagnostic procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with patients and healthcare teams.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and supervise junior staff when required.
- PET-CT and Nuclear Medicine injecting experience essential.
