An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Biomedical Biochemistry Scientist to join a dynamic and forward-thinking laboratory team based in Yorkshire. This role is ideal for a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in clinical biochemistry. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of high-quality diagnostic services, supporting the care and treatment of the client's patients through accurate and timely biochemical analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Performing a wide range of biochemical tests and analyses using advanced laboratory equipment and techniques.
- Operating and maintaining Abbott AMS middleware systems.
- Conducting Xanthochromia testing.
- Utilising the Advanced Instruments Osmometer.
- Ensuring compliance with laboratory protocols.
- Maintaining accurate records.
- Participating in quality assurance programmes.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to health and safety standards.
Qualifications and Experiences:
- HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
- BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in a clinical biochemistry laboratory.
- Proficiency in using Abbott AMS middleware.
- Competence in Xanthochromia testing procedures.
- Experience with Advanced Instruments Osmometer.
