We are currently seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Histology to join our client’s team in York. This is a full-time, ongoing position working core hours only, offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute to a busy and well-established laboratory service.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will process and embed tissue samples, perform microtomy, and stain slides for microscopic examination.
  • You will support pathologists in diagnostic reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

  • HCPC registration
  • Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
  • Experience in Histology within a clinical laboratory
  • Experience with microtomy and staining techniques
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • NHS experience (required)
