About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our dermatology team in Edinburgh. This is a part-time position working weekends, offering an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a specialist setting. You will support patients attending dermatology clinics and work closely with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and support to patients attending dermatology and outpatient clinics.
  • Assist nursing and medical staff with patient preparation, procedures, and treatment.
  • Carry out clinical tasks such as wound care, dressing changes, and assisting with minor procedures (training provided if required).
  • Support the smooth running of clinics, including patient flow and maintaining a safe, clean environment.
  • Accurately update patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times.
  • Deliver excellent communication and reassurance to patients and their families.

About You

  • Previous experience working as a Health Care Assistant, Clinical Support Worker, or similar.
  • Experience in dermatology or outpatients is highly desirable.
  • A caring, professional, and patient-focused approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and undertake further training where required.
  • Flexibility to work weekend shifts.
