The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 8a Senior Specialist Oncology Pharmacist to join our team in Harrow. This is a temporary position for 3 months, with a Monday to Friday shift pattern. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing pharmaceutical services to Oncology and Haematology patients, ensuring the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities- You will deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical services to Oncology/Haematology patients.
- You will utilize clinical audit or research to enhance practice and service delivery.
- You will provide expert knowledge in Cancer chemotherapy (Oncology and/or Haematology) therapeutics.
- You will recommend and communicate therapeutic options effectively in a multiādisciplinary setting.
- You will manage clinical, operational, and governance tasks efficiently.
- You will identify and manage risks associated with pharmaceutical care.
- GPhC Registered.
- 1 year preāregistration training.
- Master's degree in pharmacy (MPharm) accredited by the GPhC.
- Prior NHS hospital experience, particularly in clinical ward areas.
- Significant postāregistration training and experience in all aspects of hospital pharmacy practice.
- Substantive clinical experience in providing pharmaceutical services to Oncology/Haematology patients.
- Demonstrable experience in using clinical audit or research to improve practice/service.
- Inādepth knowledge of Cancer chemotherapy (Oncology and/or Haematology) therapeutics.
- Proven ability to recommend and communicate therapeutic options both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, including Excel and Word.
- Excellent personal organization and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Strong knowledge of medicines and their applications.
