If you’re a clinical pharmacist with a real interest in respiratory care, this new locum opportunity on the South Coast might be exactly what you’ve been waiting for. One of my NHS clients is looking for a Highly Specialist Respiratory Pharmacist (Band 7) to join their team and play a key role in shaping their respiratory pharmacy service. This is a role where your clinical expertise genuinely matters — influencing patient pathways, supporting MDTs, and helping drive service improvements.

  • South Coast Hours: 37.5 per week or minimum 3 days/week ➡️ Thursday Friday cover required
  • Start: ASAP – 3+ months
  • Pay: £30–£31 per hour umbrella (or its PAYE equivalent) ✨ Higher rates may be considered for strong specialist experience

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering advanced medicines optimisation and clinical support
  • Supporting education and training within the respiratory team
  • Contributing to service development and risk management

Requirements:

  • Clinical Pharmacy qualification (or working towards it)
  • Solid NHS hospital clinical experience
  • COPD • Asthma • Biologics • Wider respiratory medicine

I’m pleased to share a new locum role with one of my NHS clients on the South Coast, ideal for a Specialist Pharmacist with experience in Older Persons Medicine (OPM) or Frailty.

  • Contract: ASAP start – minimum 3 months
  • Hours: Full‑time (37.5 hrs) or part‑time (min. 3 days/week)
  • Pay: £30–£31 per hour umbrella (or its PAYE equivalent)

Responsibilities:

  • Leading OPM pharmacy input and supporting frailty pathways
  • Providing clinical expertise in medicines optimisation deprescribing
  • Contributing to service development across primary secondary care

Requirements:

  • Clinical Pharmacy qualification (or working towards it)
  • Previous NHS hospital experience
  • Experience in Frailty/OPM and NMP is a bonus
