We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Biomedical Scientist to join our client’s established laboratory team in Falkirk, specialising in Haematology and Blood Transfusion. This role is primarily based on day shifts; however, flexibility is required as you may be asked to cover out-of-hours shifts as part of the rota.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for performing a wide range of duties within the Haematology and Blood Transfusion departments.
  • This includes processing and analysing samples, maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and contributing to the delivery of accurate and timely diagnostic results.

Qualifications and experience

  • HCPC registration
  • Proven experience in Haematology and Blood Transfusion
  • Previous out-of-hours or shift work experience is essential
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
