Phlebotomists / HCAs Needed Greater Edinburgh

Mobile sites across the Lothians

Up to 19 per hour (umbrella) + weekend enhancements

Pulse AHPs Phlebotomy Team is recruiting experienced Phlebotomists / Healthcare Support Workers to support an established health research programme as it moves into its next phase. This is a flexible, shift-based role (similar to bank work), ideal if you're looking for part-time hours or a second role. We're looking for candidates who can commit to at least 2 days per week within a 7-day service.

The Role

  • You'll be working on mobile research units across the Greater Edinburgh area (locations rotate every 56 weeks), supporting participants through:
  • Venepuncture (2 blood samples per participant)
  • Height, weight & waist measurements
  • BP and heart rate checks
  • Data input onto clinical systems
  • Participant welfare checks and escalation where needed
  • Preparing samples for courier collection

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 12 months recent phlebotomy experience
  • HCA / clinical support experience
  • Ability to work 2-3 days per week
  • Willingness to register fully with Pulse
  • Driving licence highly beneficial due to mobile sites
