Job Overview
Pulse is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Children's Speech and Language Therapist to join the team at Croydon Healthcare Services. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a children's community service, supporting both early years and school-aged children with communication needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out assessments, contributing to Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs), and delivering targeted interventions to help children achieve their communication goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out assessments for children with speech, language, and communication needs.
- Provide specialist intervention for early years children requiring Speech and Language Therapy support.
- Complete and contribute to Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs).
- Deliver evidence-based therapy programmes tailored to individual needs.
- Support school-aged children with communication difficulties within educational settings.
- Liaise effectively with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with professional and organisational standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
- HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Experience working within children's Speech and Language Therapy services.
- Experience carrying out EHCNAs.
- Knowledge and experience of supporting early years communication development.
- Experience working with school-aged children within educational settings.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload independently.
