We’re working with a leading-edge, fast-growing specialist eating disorder service that is redefining how eating disorders are treated in the UK. This service is known for its innovative, kind, and collaborative approach to care with compassion and clinical excellence at its core. They are now seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join their multidisciplinary team and help lead psychiatric care for clients with complex eating disorder presentations.
What to Expect
As Consultant Psychiatrist, you'll be focused on delivering psychiatric input, managing medical and psychiatric risk systems, and working closely with clinicians across the service. You’ll also contribute to service development, clinical governance, and training as part of a progressive and values-driven team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert psychiatric care for clients with complex eating disorder presentations
- Lead weekly case consultations (video/in-person) with the wider clinical team
- Share responsibility for psychiatric & medical risk management across the service
- Conduct psychiatric assessments for new referrals, including co-occurring conditions
- Support RMNs in managing physical health risk
- Participate in clinical audit, incident analysis, and quality improvement
- Contribute to training, education, and research initiatives
- Collaborate with senior leadership on ongoing service development
What You’ll Need
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
- MRCPsych or equivalent qualification
- Significant experience in eating disorder psychiatry
- Strong understanding of physical health risk and comorbid presentations
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and clinical leadership skills
- Committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
- Experience in delivering therapy (individual or group) is an advantage
