We are seeking a dedicated Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to work full-time for our NHS client based in Barton Hill, Bristol. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start.
Responsibilities
- This role involves working within emergency department settings, providing specialist psychiatric care to children and adolescents.
- You will be responsible for conducting urgent assessments, formulating treatment and risk management plans, and supporting the multidisciplinary team in delivering responsive and effective mental health services.
- The postholder will also participate in clinical meetings, liaise with families and external agencies, and ensure documentation is maintained in accordance with NHS standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- GMC registration (essential)
- Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status (essential)
- Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry, particularly in emergency or acute care settings
- Strong clinical, communication, and decision‑making skills
- A commitment to delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care
