We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to join our NHS client based in Southampton, Hampshire. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately for a short-term contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric assessments, formulate accurate diagnoses, and prescribe appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
  • Provide consultation and support to primary care providers, community mental health teams, and other stakeholders involved in the care of adults with mental health needs.
  • Participate in service development initiatives, quality improvement projects, and research activities to enhance the delivery of mental health care services for adults.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • You must have a full GMC licence to practice.
  • Relevant previous experience working in this type of position.
  • Approved clinician status is desired but not essential.
