We are seeking an HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist with proven experience in weight management or bariatric care to join a specialist Tier 3 service supporting individuals living with complex obesity.
This is a locum opportunity, offering excellent hourly rates and flexible remote working. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team including dietitians, nurses, and fellow psychologists, delivering evidence-based psychological support via phone, video, and app-based platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-to-one therapeutic support focused on lifestyle and behavioural change.
- Conduct psychological assessments and create individual formulations.
- Collaborate with the MDT to ensure holistic care planning.
- Support PWPs with complex cases and contribute to internal training.
- Appropriately manage clinical risk and safeguarding concerns.
- Maintain CPD and participate in regular clinical supervision.
Essential Criteria:
- HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist.
- Previous experience in weight management and/or bariatric care.
- Confident working independently and managing a remote caseload.
- Skilled in CBT and other evidence-based behaviour change approaches.
- Empathetic, patient-centred, and comfortable using digital tools.
Desirable Experience:
- Working in MDTs, particularly with dietitians.
- Supporting patients with eating disorders, diabetes, or long-term physical health conditions.
- Delivering care remotely using digital platforms.
