We are currently recruiting for a Clinical Psychologist (Band 7–8b) to join a specialist service on a locum basis, supporting adults with complex neurological and psychological needs within a rehabilitation setting.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, evidence-based psychological care. The service provides specialist support to individuals with acquired brain injury and complex presentations, focusing on rehabilitation, recovery, and improved quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist psychological assessments, including cognitive, behavioural, and emotional functioning
- Develop formulation-driven care plans and provide evidence-based psychological interventions
- Work collaboratively within an MDT, contributing to care planning and clinical decision-making
- Provide psychological consultation and guidance to the wider team
- Support risk assessment, management, and safeguarding processes
- Maintain high standards of clinical record keeping and documentation
- Contribute to service development, audit, and outcome monitoring
Requirements
- HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist
- Experience working with neurological conditions, brain injury, or complex mental health presentations
- Strong skills in assessment, formulation, and therapeutic intervention
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work autonomously within a structured clinical framework
