Role: Locum Pharmacy Technician – MH Higher Level Specialist

Banding: Band 5

Location: Chelmsford

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 12 weeks.

Rate: £19 - £22 per hour

Working Pattern:

  • Full-time: Monday to Friday, 09:00AM - 17:30PM, 12 weeks.
  • Part-time: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 09:00AM – 17:30PM, 12 weeks.

About the role

The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking dedicated and experienced Band 5 Pharmacy Technicians for two placements. As a Band 5 Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in our healthcare team, ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications. You will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care to our patients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • You will dispense and accurately check various prescriptions in line with service needs.
  • You will manage and maintain accurate patient medication records.
  • You will provide advice and support to patients regarding their medications.
  • You will assist in the preparation and delivery of pharmaceutical services.
  • You will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • You will participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits.
  • You will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimise patient care.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualifications:
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Qualified Pharmacy Technician with relevant certification.
  • A minimum of 6 months recent UK NHS hospital or clinical setting experience.
  • Mental Health (MH) experience.
  • Experience:
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using pharmacy software and systems.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
