We are seeking a Biomedical Scientist – Biochemistry to join our esteemed client in Brighton. This role involves performing specialist biochemical analyses, ensuring the accurate processing and interpretation of patient samples to support diagnosis and treatment. The successful candidate will work closely with clinicians, pathologists, and multidisciplinary teams, contributing to high-quality patient care and adherence to clinical guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting routine and specialist analytical testing.
- Interpreting results and ensuring compliance with quality control standards.
- Maintaining and operating laboratory equipment.
- Supporting quality assurance procedures.
- Assisting in the day-to-day running of the biochemistry laboratory.
- Contributing to training and competency assessments, ensuring adherence to UKAS accreditation standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- HCPC registration (essential).
- Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent.
- Familiarity with using, setting up and maintaining Roche systems, 8000, 8100, P612, Cobas Infinity, Winpath middleware.
- Ability to train staff and complete quality tasks using Q pulse.
- Extensive experience in biochemistry and biochemical analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
