Pulse is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 5 Pharmacy Technician (ACT) to join a busy NHS hospital pharmacy service in the West Midlands. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high‐quality dispensary services within a fast‐paced and supportive environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the safe and accurate supply of medicines, supporting clinical teams, and delivering patient‐centred care. Candidates with MTT experience are highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, efficient, and accurate dispensary services, including accuracy checking.
- Support medicines management services where required (preferred).
- Provide high‐quality medicines information and support to patients and healthcare professionals.
- Work collaboratively with pharmacists, technicians, and wider MDT colleagues.
- Ensure compliance with legal, professional, and organisational standards.
- Participate in audits, service development, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold robust governance practices.
Qualifications and Experience
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Previous NHS hospital experience (essential).
- Hospital wards experience (preferred but not essential).
- Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‐paced environment with excellent attention to detail.
- A proactive, patient‐focused, and professional approach.
