We are currently seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Haematology to join our client’s team in West Yorkshire. This is a full‑time, ongoing position working core hours only, offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute to a busy and well‑established laboratory service.
Key Responsibilities
- In Haematology, proficient in blood film morphology, with the flexibility to rotate into Full Blood Count (FBC) and Coagulation as needed.
- In Blood Transfusion, familiarity with the Grifols Erytra platform is essential.
- Experience with WinPath is required across both departments.
- Responsible for ensuring accurate analysis, maintaining rigorous quality control standards, and collaborating effectively with clinical teams to support patient care.
Qualifications and Experience
- HCPC registration
- Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
- Experience in Haematology or Transfusion within a clinical laboratory
- Experience in Morphology in Haematology or strong experience in Blood Transfusion
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- NHS experience (preferred)
