Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 09:00am-17:30pm
Rate: £34 - £39 per hour
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 8a Pharmacist to join our oncology team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive oncology pharmacy services, including screening chemotherapy prescriptions. This role is crucial in ensuring the safe and effective use of chemotherapy medications and contributing to high-quality patient care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing oncology pharmacy services and screening chemotherapy prescriptions.
- Working closely with the oncology team to ensure the safe administration of chemotherapy.
- Managing medication therapy and providing expert pharmaceutical advice.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Supporting clinical trials and contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the oncology department.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Hospital experience as a pharmacist.
- Proven experience in oncology pharmacy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
