Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will independently perform and interpret a range of clinical respiratory investigations, including spirometry, gas transfer, and lung volume measurements, with a strong emphasis on physiology. You will provide detailed, factual reports to inform clinical diagnoses for both respiratory and non‐respiratory physicians. Additionally, you will oversee the maintenance and calibration of equipment, ensuring high safety standards. Your role will involve liaising with medical staff, participating in research and audit projects, and staying updated with advancements in pulmonary physiology, sleep medicine, and ventilation techniques. You will also be expected to demonstrate compassionate leadership, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
Qualifications and Experience- BSc in Respiratory Clinical Physiology, Biological Sciences, or an equivalent qualification.
- Significant experience working in a Lung Function Laboratory.
- Proven ability to independently perform, interpret, and report on lung function tests.
- Experience in sleep medicine and ventilation techniques.
- Strong understanding of pulmonary physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
