We are currently seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Microbiology to join our client’s team in Basildon. This is a full-time, ongoing position working core hours only, offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute to a busy and well-established laboratory service.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing a range of microbiological investigations, ensuring accurate and timely analysis in accordance with laboratory protocols and quality standards.
- Working collaboratively with clinical and laboratory teams.
- Maintaining detailed records.
- Supporting the delivery of high-quality diagnostic services.
Qualifications and Experience
- HCPC registration (Health and Care Professions Council).
- Relevant degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent.
- Proven experience in microbiology within a clinical laboratory setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- NHS experience (preferred).
