The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 7 Pharmacist to join our team on a part-time basis in London. The successful candidate will have previous experience covering medical wards within acute hospitals.
Key Responsibilities
- You will complete medicines reconciliation.
- You will screen drug charts.
- You will validate TTAs (To Take Away medications).
- You will cover a range of medical wards.
- You will provide clinical advice and support to healthcare professionals.
- You will participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- You will ensure the safe and effective use of medicines.
- You will educate and counsel patients on their medications.
- You will contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
Requirements
Education and Qualifications
- GPhC Registered.
- 1 year pre-registration training.
- Master’s degree in pharmacy (MPharm) accredited by the GPhC.
- Previous experience working in an NHS hospital setting is essential.
- Proven experience as a Band 7 Pharmacist in an acute hospital setting.
- Strong knowledge of medicines reconciliation, drug chart screening, and TTA validation.
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Strong knowledge of medicines and their applications.
