The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 7 Pharmacist to join our team on a part-time basis in London. The successful candidate will have previous experience covering medical wards within acute hospitals.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will complete medicines reconciliation.
  • You will screen drug charts.
  • You will validate TTAs (To Take Away medications).
  • You will cover a range of medical wards.
  • You will provide clinical advice and support to healthcare professionals.
  • You will participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • You will ensure the safe and effective use of medicines.
  • You will educate and counsel patients on their medications.
  • You will contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.

Requirements

Education and Qualifications

  • GPhC Registered.
  • 1 year pre-registration training.
  • Master’s degree in pharmacy (MPharm) accredited by the GPhC.
  • Previous experience working in an NHS hospital setting is essential.
  • Proven experience as a Band 7 Pharmacist in an acute hospital setting.
  • Strong knowledge of medicines reconciliation, drug chart screening, and TTA validation.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of medicines and their applications.
