The radiography team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and skilled Band 7 General Radiographer with at least one year of UK experience to join our dynamic team in Preston. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality radiographic services and ensuring the best care for our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures (X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans) with high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and obtaining informed consent.
- Operate and maintain radiographic equipment to ensure safe functioning.
- Assist in initial interpretation of images and report significant findings to the supervising radiologist or clinician.
- Adhere to quality assurance protocols and health and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of practice.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to imaging procedures, including consent forms and reports.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, fostering a coordinated approach to patient care.
- Provide guidance and support to junior radiographers, students, and support staff.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay up to date with advancements in radiography.
Requirements
- A relevant degree in Radiography or a related field, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of post‑qualification experience in a clinical setting, within the NHS or private sector in the UK, with general radiography experience.
- Proficiency in using imaging equipment and a solid understanding of radiographic techniques and safety protocols.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and to lead and supervise junior staff when required.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure patient safety and accurate imaging results.
