We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Pharmacy Technician (MMT/Wards) to join our team in Kettering, Northamptonshire. This role offers an excellent opportunity to provide specialized medicines management services within a ward-based setting, ensuring the highest standards of patient care. The successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week, from 08:30 to 17:00, and will play a crucial role in optimizing medication use and supporting the pharmacy team.
Responsibilities
- Providing expert medicines management services, including conducting medication reviews and offering clinical advice to healthcare professionals.
- Working closely with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure the safe and effective use of medications.
- Involved in training and assessing junior pharmacy staff, contributing to the continuous improvement of our pharmacy services.
Qualifications and Experience
- NVQ Level III in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
- Management qualification or equivalent experience and willingness to undertake such a qualification.
- NVQ Work Based Assessor.
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Accredited Checking Technician (or willingness to undertake).
