We are seeking a skilled and experienced Locum Catheterisation Laboratory professional to join our team in Middlesbrough. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality cardiac catheterisation services. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of procedures within the catheterization laboratory, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct various cardiac catheterisation procedures, including diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Work closely with patients to explain procedures, ensure their comfort, and accurately record test results.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret test results and contribute to patient care plans.
- Maintain and calibrate equipment, adhere to clinical protocols, and stay updated with the latest advancements in catheterisation techniques.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, assist in the training and supervision of junior staff, and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
- Involved in patient education, providing information on cardiac health and post-procedure care.
- Manage inventory and supplies for the catheterization lab, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and participate in research and development projects to improve catheterization techniques and patient outcomes.
Qualifications and Experiences:
- Degree in Cardiac Physiology or related field.
- HCPC registration.
- Extensive experience in cardiac catheterisation procedures.
- Proficiency in diagnostic and interventional catheterisation techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recording test results.
