Responsibilities:

  • Processing and analysing a wide range of biochemical samples using automated platforms and manual techniques.
  • Performing quality control procedures.
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment.
  • Validating results.
  • Ensuring compliance with UKAS and ISO 15189 standards.
  • Working collaboratively with clinical and laboratory staff.
  • Contributing to service improvements.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
  • BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ post-registration experience in Biochemistry.
  • Proficient in the use of automated analysers and laboratory information systems.
  • Familiarity with UKAS accreditation and ISO 15189 standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
