We are seeking a Band 4 Locum Therapy Assistant to join our Hip Fracture Community Service at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. In this role, you will support the rehabilitation of patients recovering from hip fractures in a community setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist qualified therapists in delivering rehabilitation programs to patients recovering from hip fractures.
- Help patients with exercises and mobility activities, promoting independence and recovery.
- Monitor and record patients' progress, reporting any concerns or changes to the supervising therapist.
- Provide support during therapy sessions and encourage patients to engage in their rehabilitation.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Assist in preparing and organizing therapy materials and equipment for sessions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure cohesive care.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience as a therapy assistant or in a related healthcare role is essential.
