We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join a specialist Adult Neuro Rehabilitation service in Kent. This role is based at a leading Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre, supporting adults who have experienced brain injuries or other neurological conditions. Set within the 12-acre grounds of a historic manor house, this award-winning facility offers a peaceful and well‑equipped environment to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care. The service focuses on comprehensive rehabilitation for adults with complex neurological needs resulting from injury, illness, or disease. This opportunity is ideal for a Band 6 or Band 7 therapist with experience or a strong interest in neurorehabilitation, looking for a short‑term contract with the potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessing, diagnosing, and managing communication and swallowing difficulties in adults with acquired brain injuries and neurological conditions.
  • Developing and implementing individualised therapy plans tailored to each patient’s needs and rehabilitation goals.
  • Working closely with other healthcare professionals, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to deliver holistic, patient‑centred care.
  • Maintaining clear and accurate documentation in accordance with HCPC and RCSLT standards.
  • Contributing to case conferences, team meetings, and patient reviews.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
  • HCPC registration and eligibility for RCSLT membership.
  • Experience working with adults in a neurological or rehabilitation setting (Band 6/7 level).
  • Excellent communication and clinical reasoning skills.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
