Our client is seeking an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join their team on a Hyper Acute Stroke Unit in Essex. This role involves providing specialist occupational therapy interventions for patients with acute stroke, supporting recovery and facilitating safe, timely discharges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality occupational therapy interventions for patients on a hyper acute stroke unit.
  • Complete functional assessments and rehabilitation plans tailored to stroke recovery.
  • Support discharge planning and liaise with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Promote independence and optimize patient outcomes through evidence-based practice.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Proven experience in acute stroke care or similar neurological settings.
  • Strong understanding of discharge pathways and admission avoidance.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
