Our client is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join their established Neurology team in Aberdeen on a permanent, full-time basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with patients presenting with a wide range of neurological conditions, delivering specialist rehabilitation to maximise independence, improve functional outcomes, and support patients throughout their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions for patients with acute and long-term neurological conditions.
- Complete comprehensive functional and cognitive assessments, developing person-centred rehabilitation programmes.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate treatment plans and facilitate safe, effective discharge planning.
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and carers to promote independence and long-term self-management.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service development through evidence-based practice.
Requirements
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Previous experience working within a neurology or neurological rehabilitation setting.
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and multidisciplinary teamworking skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively managing a varied and complex caseload.
