I'm working with a major UK technology-led business that needs an experienced Staff Cloud Network Engineer to help shape, build, and improve its cloud networking infrastructure.
This is a genuinely hands-on engineering role. We're looking for someone who understands networking at a deep technical level but can also write code, automate infrastructure and solve complex cloud networking challenges.
What weโre looking for:
- Cloud Networking - strong experience designing, building and managing networking infrastructure in GCP or AWS.
- Networking Fundamentals - deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing and network security.
- Infrastructure as Code - strong hands-on Terraform experience, building and managing cloud infrastructure through code.
- Coding & Automation - comfortable scripting and developing automation using Python, Go or similar languages.
- Kubernetes & Cloud-Native Infrastructure - understanding of container networking, connectivity and networking within distributed systems.
- Technical Leadership - ability to influence architectural decisions, establish engineering standards and tackle complex technical challenges.
The key requirement?
We need someone who is still technically hands-on. This isn't a purely architectural or management role you'll need to be comfortable getting into the details, writing code, and solving challenging networking problems.
If you're a strong Cloud Network Engineer looking for a Staff-level opportunity, I'd love to hear from you.
