Pulse is partnering with a household-name fashion retailer at a really exciting moment. After years of being store-first, they’re gearing up to launch home delivery across Great Britain for the first time, so how customers discover them online, and especially through AI, matters more than ever. They’re now building a dedicated function to understand how the brand is found, perceived and recommended across search and AI platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity.
This is a newly created role and a genuine hybrid. You’ll sit within the SEO team as its own distinct arm, acting as the bridge between SEO, Digital PR, Corporate Comms and Fashion Comms.
It’s not about talking rankings. It’s about turning search and AI insight into stories each team can act on, and making sure they do. You’ll own the AI visibility platform (Profound) as it rolls out, with plans for an analyst to report into you.
What you’ll be doing:
- Owning how the brand shows up across AI platforms and moving the needle on visibility, perception and sentiment
- Turning search and consumer trends into clear commercial recommendations, including what’s driving trade up or down
- Partnering with PR and Comms to shape the narratives and coverage that influence how AI talks about the brand
- Presenting insight up to exec level and holding teams to timelines so it turns into action
What they’re looking for:
- A strong SEO and search insights background, with proven, hands‑on GEO/AEO results (not just the theory!)
- Retail, fashion or ecommerce experience
- Brilliant storytelling and stakeholder skills, confident speaking PR, Comms and senior leadership in their own language
- A collaborative, down‑to‑earth approach, someone who brings people with them rather than telling them what to do
Location: Reading (hybrid, 2 days a week in the office)
